We're confident the AWS outage is resolved, and we've also completed our own remediation steps, which include pushing a new app update and enforcing upgrade. The new update includes bug fixes to improve performance in future similar outages. Granola is now fully operational, but please do get in touch if you're experiencing any issues or have any questions, via hey@granola.so Thanks for your patience!

We're confident the AWS outage is resolved, and we've also completed our own remediation steps, which include pushing a new app update and enforcing upgrade. Granola is now fully operational, but please do get in touch if you're experiencing any issues or have any questions, via hey@granola.so Thanks for your patience!
Monitoring
AWS services have recovered, and so Granola is back online. If you're still seeing any of the following issues, please make sure you're on the latest version of Granola (6.272.0).
AI-enhanced notes failing to generate
Granola Chat responses failing to generate
Login issues
You can download the latest version from our website (granola.ai) or by checking for updates in-app by right-clicking on the dock icon (macOS) or the 'g' icon in the system tray (Windows) and choosing 'check for updates'. While transcription was working for some users yesterday, we're hearing some reports of these notes now disappearing. If this is affecting you, please get in touch at hey@granola.so with a rough timeframe (and timezone) of these notes, and we'll investigate. We're also getting some questions about all notes going missing. In the vast majority of these cases, this is because people who were logged out due to the outage are now logging into a different account. If you've logged into Granola and you're not seeing your notes, please double-check that you've logged into the right account. If you're sure that you have, get in touch at hey@granola.so and we'll look into this for you. Please bear with us when getting in touch, as our response time might be slower than usual as we work through these! Thanks for your patience during yesterday's outage - rest assured we're making changes to the app to mitigate any further impact.
Monitoring
AWS have resolved the issue and are recovering. We can confirm we're seeing successful connections and logins, and we're monitoring this incident closely. We'll do a final update once we're confident things are totally resolved.
Identified
Most requests to AWS are still failing, so Granola is mostly down. You may experience issues with:
logging into Granola
generating AI-enhanced meeting notes
using Granola Chat
If you are still logged into Granola, you may be able to transcribe new meetings. When we recover, you should be able to generate AI-enhanced notes from these transcripts.
Identified
Looks like we spoke too soon, and AWS outages are impacting us once again. You may be unable to log into Granola, and if you're logged in then meeting notes and Granola Chat responses won't generate. We'll provide an update soon, and hope that AWS stabilizes. We're still working on mitigations for this to prevent further outages from impacting Granola.
Monitoring
AWS and Granola services have recovered, but we're still seeing some errors when generating notes or using Granola Chat as a result of the earlier downtime - restarting the app completely should fix this. To do this on macOS, right-click the app icon in the dock and choose 'restart Granola completely'. On Windows, find the 'g' icon in your system tray (click the ^ icon in the bottom-right corner of your start bar, next to the volume and WiFi icons), right-click it and choose 'restart Granola completely'.
Investigating
AWS is reporting further outages, which is impacting Granola services again. We're working to mitigate the impact of this further and will provide another update soon.
